Nakeisha Whitfield Psychotherapist

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who received my education from Stony Brook University in New York. With over 20 years in the human services field, I provided service to children, adolescents, and adults in various settings. I am currently licensed in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

I have substantial experience with individuals who need support with traumatic experiences - motor vehicle accidents, personal injuries, unhealthy relationships; anger management; positive coping skills; family planning; parenting education; career planning and development; self-empowerment and communication skills - to name a few.

My style of therapy is relaxed, yet engaging. However, if there is silence - no need to apologize! I welcome the moment as a time for you to reflect, process, or just take a breath. My role is to support you in your transformation and empower you to bring more peace and calm in your life.

I look forward to working with you!

"Nakeisha is so intuitive! Not only is she a great listener, but she knows when and how to steer the conversation for more information. Some therapists will let you pour your heart out and then just leave you hanging there, but with Nakeisha I feel more than just heard; I feel engaged."
